1956 Underwood QT DeLuxe with rare "Vertical" Script Typeface

"Vertical Script" typeface—what a treat! This is an extraordinarily fine Underwood Quiet Tab DeLuxe Typewriter, in a rare colour combination that is all original. This typewriter is from a prominent Austrian collector who specializes in rare typefaces. It has a new platen from Alessio Vescovo of Vescovo Restauri in Padua, Italy.
The "Vertical Script" typeface is an interesting and rare variation of more common italic/script typefaces.
Manufactured in 1956, this typewriter is in extraordinarily fine condition in every way. The mind-century styling is sublime and the colour combination is enormously appealing. Of course, it has a new ribbon installed and is ready to type for another 70 years.
The keyboard is original QWERTY and the typesize is elite.  
It comes with the original case, which is somewhat worn in places, and with the original Warranty certificate and an original marketing/information sheet. The case is strong and solid.
