Hermes Baby 1959

Hermes is one of the most renowned brands and models of typewriter ever made, and this is an fine example of the "Baby" model, also known as the "Rocket", from 1959. This is the perfect portable typing machine, weighing only ~3.6kg/8 lbs! This typewriter is in excellent condition, mechanically and cosmetically, and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. It is a typing machine that is ready to work for another 60 years of typing service. And with its brilliant Hermes engineering, it does that with elegance, smoothness and solidity.
Like all of our typewriters this is a fully-working typewriter. It comes with the "Acme" lead certification seal attached to the typewriter which permanently identifies it as a genuine Acme-restored typewriter and provides for a 6-month warranty. We guarantee safe delivery and provide careful and attentive after-purchase advice and assistance from the date of purchase to the end of eternity to ensure your full satisfaction. In terms of an investment, the Acme Seal proves that this machine was restored by the Acme Type Machine Company. This can add value in the event that you wish to sell this typewriter in the future. 
Mechanically, it is in excellent working condition. The platen-roller is clean and smooth and has a perfect hardness rating of ~90 (Ideal: 85 to 95). The paper feeder rollers clean and soft. All mechanisms have been tested and adjusted. It has been fitted with two vintage metal ribbon spools.  Everything on this typewriter is original to its manufacture and purchase except the new platen, new rubber feet and the new ribbon and metal spools. The chrome is is fine condition and the body finish has minimal signs of use.
The keyboard is a QWERTY keyboard (English language) and has the elegant typeface of Hermes Elite (11 cpi). It comes with a new, Acme Signature Blue ribbon on two metal ribbon spools.
The case/cover is in beautiful condition both inside and out. The colour is uniform and unfaded.
