What a presence this typewriter has on a desk, in a room! This is a 1961, Supermetall Kst typewriter, in an unusual two-tone blue colour. The wonderful two-tone blue gives it a look that is both gentle and powerful. It has a hip 1960s sleekness to the design. Supermetall, manufactured by Rheinmetall is known by typewriter enthusiasts to be a very high-quality typing machine. The body colour finish is completely original and is unblemished by sun or any other factors. This typewriter has been well-protected and very well cared-for during its lifetime.
Please note that this typewriter has the original QWERTY keyboard, unlike most Supermetall and Rheinmetall typewriers offered for sale. It is in exceptional condition in every way. It is fully working and has been fully serviced, aligned and adjusted. We have outfitted this KsT with a new ribbon so you can start typing immediately. It comes with a lovely, hard case in excellent condition.

Mechanically this typewriter is in perfect working condition. All systems have been checked and adjusted or aligned as necessary. The keytops are in excellent condition without any signs of fingernail scratching or any other damage. Everything works as it should and as originally designed.
The keyboard is standard US/UK (QWERTY) and has accent keys for European languages. The typeface is a refined and elegant Elite with 12 characters to the inch.
It comes with the original case which is in excellent condition inside and outside. There are a couple of minor blemishes on the outside of the case and the edges of the handle show some wear. The interior has minor marks where the typewriter feet have sat for decades and some small wear marks.
