SORRY, SOLD! 1963 Hermes Baby (Rocket) Typewriter

A superb example of this classic and iconic typewriter--and with a new platen! The keyboard is original QWERTY but with the rare addition of keys to type in Spanish AND French. This combination is highly unusual, marking this typewriter as probably a "custom order" from the Hermes factory in Switzerland. It was originally owned by a Dutch poet who wrote in various languages.

Everything about this typewriter is "like new". From the cosmetic condition which you can judge by the photos, to the interior mechanics. We have fully reconditioned this typewriter to our highest standards and with the new platen and the new ribbon it is nearly as if it came from the Hermes store in 1963. The only signs of wear or use are a couple of small (but inconsequential) dents on the base and one on the corner of the case/cover. On the case/cover there is a small crack on the handle that was successfully repaired by the previous owner. Even so, the handle is solid and strong.
The typeface is a lovely Elite, meaning 11 characters to the inch. It comes with a new ribbon installed on two, original metal ribbon spools.
