Facit Privat (TP2) 1967
This is an uncommon typewriter, a 1967 Facit Privat, also known as a TP2, in blue body colour with dark gray accents. It is in absolutely superb condition in every way. It has been fully cleaned, serviced, aligned and adjusted. The platen roller is in as-new condition. It has a new two-colour ribbon and comes with a carrying case in excellent condition. It also comes with the original advertising brochure and Facit-branded cleaning brush.
This is a fully-working--as original--typewriter. The only thing that you have to do is sit down, put paper on the roller and start typing. It comes with the Acme seal and a full mechanical warranty for 6 months. The colour on this typewriter is a lovely light blue with dark gray keys. It is a very handsome combination. All of this is original to the manufacture of this typewriter. The shift on this typewriter is a basket shift.
The keyboard is the uncommon standard English language QWERTY (this is NOT a Swedish QWERTY keyboard) with accents for foreign languages. The typeface is a lovely Elite (11.5 c.p.i.). It comes with a new bi-colour ribbon.
Regarding the rubber: Platen Roller is as-new with a perfect durometer reading of 85 (so, 5as good as a newly renovated roller). The paper feed rollers are soft and in perfect condition. The rubber on the feet is soft and pliable and gripping the desktop well.
Regarding the chrome: Perfect and unblemished.
Regarding the Body condition: Flawless. No blemishes or fading anywhere. The colour is uniform and gorgeous.
Regarding the mechanical condition: Working perfectly, as originally manufactured.Comes with the original case which, too, is in excellent condition inside and outside. The interior is a beautiful red colour with almost no signs of age or use and a perfectly preserved lining. Inside the case has a paper flap on the bottom and a small holder on the right side for the cleaning brush.
Based on the serial number (P573313) this machine was manufactured in 1967.
