Overall, this typewriter is in superb condition. The cosmetic condition is excellent with only a very few spots of wear. The chrome and aluminium are in superb condition with no signs of corrosion. The keys are clean and unmarked by use. Both platen roller knobs are absolutely solid. 
Mechanically, it is in superb working condition. The paper feeder rollers are in perfect condition and soft. The feet are in excellent condition, soft and still grip the desktop well. All mechanical devices (including, but not exclusive of, the ribbon colour selection mechanism, ribbon advance and reverse mechanisms, margin release, etc.) have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. Everything on this typewriter is original to its manufacture and original purchase.
 
The case/cover is in excellent condition. The chrome pieces are shiny and bright and the handle is clean and intact. The interior is in near-perfect condition with all chrome pieces unblemished. The two, original brushes -- one Hermes-branded -- are in excellent condition.
 
The keyboard has accent keys for foreign languages. The typeface is Hermes Techno with 11 characters to the inch.
