This is an exceptionally fine and beautiful HERMES 3000, from 1968. One of the most renowned brands and models of typewriters ever made! It has been professionally restored and has a QWERTY keyboard AND Techno Elite typeface. Gorgeous! It comes with the original User Manual, brush and metal reasing-template. It is fully reconditioned and working perfectly! 
 
As many of you know, Acme sources our typewriters in Switzerland and our agent there has a particularly discriminate eye for choosing Hermes typewriters that are in superb condition, little-used and carefully maintained. This typewriter is no exception! And with the Swiss QWERTY keyboard you have a wonderful range of letters and accents for writing in English and other languages.
 
This wonderful HERMES 3000, is in top condition, mechanically and cosmetically, and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. The typewriter has been fitted with a new ribbon so you can start typing immediately. (The typing sample (see photos) is smudgy because the ribbon-ink was a little splotchy. This ribbon will be replaced and I can assure you that the imprint is clean and sharp!)  This is a typing machine that is ready to work for many good years of typing service. And with its brilliant Hermes engineering, it does that with elegance, smoothness and solidity.
 
The chrome and aluminum are in top condition with no signs of corrosion. The typing keys are clean and unmarked by use. Both platen roller knobs are absolutely solid.  Mechanically, this Hermes is working like new. The paper feeder rollers are in perfect condition and soft. The platen, as mentioned, is new and will serve you well for many years to come. The rubber feet are solid and and grip the desktop well. All mechanical devices have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured.
