Olivetti Pluma 22 1968

This is an Olivetti Pluma 22 from the 1960s reminds me of the "Summer of Love" in '68. The finish is a groovy pink colour.  This is the original colour, it has not been overpainted. The Pluma 22 was produced in Barcelona, and is the Spanish version of Olivetti's very popular Lettera 22 model. It has a cool, modern styling although it is almost 60 years old.

This Olivetti is in excellent cosmetic condition. The chrome and brushed aluminium parts are in perfect condition. The rubber on the platen roller is clean, soft and smooth. The hardness of the platen roller is a very usable 92 on the durometer scale (ideal is considered between 85 and 95). Overall the body finish is in wonderful condition with only a few spots of loss of the original paint.
Mechanically, this Pluma 22 works perfectly and is ready to type for another 60 years. It comes with two metal ribbon spools with original screw tops. The typeface is a compact Elite with 12 characters to the inch. The keyboard is original QWERTY, common to English language writers.  It has a new ribbon ribbon so you can start typing immediately.
