Overall, this typewriter is in superb condition. The overall cosmetic condition is excellent with no visible spots of wear. The chrome and aluminium are in superb condition with no signs of corrosion. The keys are clean and unmarked by use. Both platen roller knobs are absolutely solid. 
Mechanically, it is in superb working condition. The platen is clean, smooth and pliable, measuring ~92 on the durometer (Ideal: 85 to 95). The paper feeder rollers are in perfect condition and soft. The feet are in excellent condition and still grip the desktop well. All mechanical devices (including, but not exclusive of, the ribbon colour selection mechanism, ribbon advance and reverse mechanisms, margin release, etc.) have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. Everything on this typewriter is original to its manufacture and original purchase.
The case/cover is in excellent condition. The interior is in near-perfect condition with all chrome pieces unblemished, and the exterior has few signs of use or wear.
The keyboard is English QWERTY with accent keys for foreign languages. The typeface is a refined and elegant Hermes Elite (12 c.p.i.).
