This is an extraordinary and beautiful, red, HERMES Baby, one of the most renowned brands and models of typewriter ever made. And this particular Baby is not only a wonderfully hip/modern Red/Orange colour, it is in superb condition, mechanically and cosmetically, and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. This is the ORIGINAL colour--it has not been repainted. This typewriter has been fitted with a new two-colour ribbon so you can start using it immediately.

This is a typing machine that is ready to work for many good years of typing service. And with its brilliant Hermes engineering, it does that with elegance, smoothness and solidity.
Overall, this typewriter is in superb, original condition. There are almost no signs of use or wear. The chrome is in wonderful condition with no signs of corrosion. The keys are clean and unmarked by use. Both platen roller knobs are absolutely solid and clean without any cracks, scratches, discolouration or other damage. The body finish is flawless and, overall, sparkling and glossy. 
Mechanically, it is in excellent working condition, operating as if new. The platen is in excellent condition: smooth and clean and of a proper softness for good typing. The platen rubber measures ~94 on the durometer (82-95 generally being considered ideal). The paper feeder rollers are in perfect condition and soft. The rubber feet are soft and in fine condition. All mechanical devices and mechanisms have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. If you prefer to have a newly-renovated platen roller that can be arrange after purchase for a cost of 95$.
This typewriter has a QWERTY international keyboard (standard English layout) with accents for European languages. The typeface is Hermes Pica, 10 c.p.i.
The case/cover,  is in absolutely excellent condition. The white-finished pieces are perfect except for the tiniest (1-2mm) abrasion on one side. The handle is clean and intact. The interior is in top condition with no markings or scratching.
