This is an extraordinary and beautiful HERMES Baby, one of the most renowned brands and models of typewriter ever made. It is from 1976, in top condition, mechanically and cosmetically, and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. This typewriter has its ORIGINAL colour--it has not been over-painted. This typewriter has been fitted with a new ribbon so you can start using it immediately. This is the ultimate portable typing machine weighing only around 7 lbs (3.6 kg).
This is a typing machine that is ready to work for many good years of typing service. And with its brilliant Hermes engineering, it does that with elegance, smoothness and solidity.

Overall, this typewriter is in superb condition. The chrome is in wonderful condition with no signs of corrosion. The keys are clean and unmarked by use.  The body finish is overall sparkling and glossy. 
Mechanically, it is in perfect working condition. The platen has new rubber and will last for another decade or so. All mechanical devices and mechanisms have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. The platen knobs are solid with no cracks (something common among Hermes typewriters of this era}.
This typewriter has a QWERTY keyboard with extra keys and accent keys for European languages. The typeface is, as noted, a beautiful Hermes Elite with 11 characters to the inch.
The case/cover is in excellent condition. It is solid without defects and will store your typewriter well or transport it anywhere.
