A wonderful, Arabic language, Erika Model 50 typewriter from 1976 in like-new condition. It has an Arabic language typeface/font, has been fully professionally reconditioned, and is ready to type with a new ribbon! It has a handsome presence with the two-tone (blue and white) colour scheme. It comes with the original User Handbook and original cleaning brush.
 
This typewriter belonged to a Dutch family with relatives in Jordan and Syria. After their arrival in the Netherlands in the mid-1970s the typewriter was seldom used. Erika typewriters are highest quality machines and were manufactured by Seidel & Naumann company of Dresden, Germany. This is the Model 50, a very popular and reliable model typewriter.

Mechanically this typewriter is in top working condition. Everything works as it should and as originally designed. The platen is smooth and clean and as you can see from the typing test (see photo) the imprint is excellent. The rubber feet on the base are in top condition and grip the desktop well.
