This is a rare and fine EVEREST Mod.90 (Model 90) typewriter from 1951. A beautiful example of mid-century Italian design, in near-perfect condition, mechanically and cosmetically. It has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. The platen is in wonderful condition, smooth and clean with a perfectly good durometer reading of 92 (see photo of typing sample). It has a new two-colour ribbon on the original metal ribbon spools. This is a typing machine that is ready to work for many good years of typing service.

We are offering this absolutely extraordinary typewriter with free shipping and a full mechanical guarantee for three months.

This is such a lovely example of Italian design from the middle of the last century. The beautiful dandelion-yellow colour is complemented by the black elements, the chrome and the wonderful "Mod. 90" logo.

This typewriter comes with a new two-colour ribbon and the two original metal spools. It has an "international" keyboard with accents for French, German etc. (accents included: acute (aigu), circonflex, grave, and diaeresis). This has a Pica (10 cpi) typeface with a QWERTY keyboard layout (English standard).

Overall, this typewriter is in superb condition. The body finish has only the very tiniest signs of age and use. These are visible in the photos. There is one vertical scratch on the left outer side of the ribbon cover and a couple of tiny scratches at the very back of the same panel. Otherwise, the finish is in superb condition. The chrome and aluminium pieces are in excellent condition with no signs of corrosion or scratching. The keytops are clean and unmarked by use. Both platen roller knobs are absolutely solid and clean without any cracks or other damage. The logos are bright and clean and unblemished.

Mechanically, it is in excellent working condition. All mechanical devices (including, but not exclusive of, ribbon colour selection mechanism, ribbon advance and reverse mechanisms, line space mechanism, typebar action etc.) have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. The platen roller is clean, soft and smooth, in fine, usable condition. The paper feeder rollers are in excellent condition and soft. The feet are only slightly harder than when originally manufactured but are in good, soft condition and grip the desktop well. The characters have all been checked and aligned. Everything on this typewriter is original to its manufacture and original purchase.

The case/cover is in excellent condition. The interior is in near-perfect condition with almost no blemishes. The leather handle is solid and in fine condition. The original brush is still with the case. The only thing lacking is the original key.

Based on the serial number (177879) this machine was manufactured in 1951.
