Remington Senior-Riter (1952) Model 18 Typewriter

€540,00Prijs

Remington–Torpedo Model 18A “Senior-Riter” typewriter.

Germany, early 1950s

An early Remington-branded Torpedo Model 18A, produced in Frankfurt am Main during the period in which Torpedo operated as a Remington subsidiary. This example represents the Senior-Riter specification, an uncommon variant, here encountered in an early body style preceding the more widely known 1960s Model 18.

The Senior-Riter designation is most often associated with institutional or military production. Examples finished for civilian markets are comparatively rare and are believed to have been distributed primarily in the Netherlands.

This machine has been professionally restored, preserving original design intent and operating characteristics. The typing action is firm and controlled, producing a consistent impression in Pica typeface. The keyboard is QWERTY with international language support. The machine is fitted with a fresh ribbon.

Discreetly marked with the Acme restoration seal, indicating professional restoration completed in 2026.

Accompanied by its original hard carrying case.
