RHEINMETALL Typewriter KsT Model
This is a rarity indeed! A fantastic, RHEINMETALL KsT typewriter, in dandelion-yellow, with Tabs, from 1956. It comes with the original two brushes, case key, and original user manual (in Dutch). It is in excellent, original condition and has been completely cleaned, adjusted and serviced. It is ready to work with a new BACO ribbon (the choice for many collectors and enthusiasts) and will type as if new.
It comes to you with a full mechanical guarantee for three months and with free shipping. If you know Rheinmetall typewriters, you are familiar with the "tight" feel of the typing. Tight and smooth and fast. And there is a real feel of mechanical integrity also. These machines were well engineered and well put together.
In excellent cosmetic condition and in top mechanical condition. Mechanically, this typewriter is working as nicely as when it was new. Cosmetically, it is in nearly perfect condition with only the tiniest marks of wear or usage. The platen knobs have one superficial crack on each but they are structurally solid and will be good for many more years of use. This does not affect the usage and the knobs are, of course, also covered by the guarantee.
The platen is in excellent condition and is wonderfully soft, with a durometer reading of around 93 (90-95 being generally accepted as ideal). The paper feeder rollers and the feet are soft and very usable.
Comes with the original carrying case which is in excellent condition.
Based on the serial number (452421) this machine is from 1956.
This typewriter, like most Rheinmetalls, has a removable carriage for cleaning, adjustment and repairs.
This typewriter has an international keyboard with a QWERTZ layout and Pica typeface (10 cpi). It comes with its two original metal ribbon spools and a new BACO two-colour ribbon.
