Triumph Typewriter, Gabriele Model, (1958)

TRIUMPH Gabriele typewriter, with newly reconditioned platen roller, from 1958 in khaki and cream colours. This is called the "Safari" model by many. In very excellent cosmetic condition and fully working. Great mid-century look. Perfect on safari or on the desktop.

Those of you who know Triumph typewriters know that they are some of the swiftest typewriters ever designed. The typing is light and responsive and the "silky" carriage movement is unsurpassed in my experience for lightness and smoothness. The lovely, flowing design makes this just a great all-around typer's typewriter.

This particular Triumph typewriter is in excellent condition all-around. Cosmetically it has very few signs of wear. Mechanically, it is in top condition and operates as original. It has been thoroughly tested and inspected, cleaned and serviced. All necessary adjustments and alignments have been made so that it operates as originally.

Based on the serial number (772458) this machine is from 1958.

The typeface is a handsome Pica (10 cpi). See photo. The platen roller is newly resurfaced with a modern rubber coating and it comes with a new two-colour BACO ribbon so you can start typing immediately.

This typewriter is a solid machine with a lovely, light "touch", good speed and tight feel combined with fine German engineering.

This fine TRIUMPH Gabriele comes with its original hard case which is in very nice condition.
