SORRY, SOLD! 1933 Underwood Noiseless Portable Typewriter

This is an extraordinarily fine Underwood Noiseless Portable Typewriter, in a rare colour combination that is all original. This typewriter was purchased by a Dutch collector in the mid-1970s and stored away in a cabinet. There it sat until it was passed on to me. It is a deluxe model with glass keys in perfect operating condition and is, cosmetically, all but spotless.
To own a standard, black Underwood Noiseless, in this condition, is absolutely wonderful. But to have one in this wonderful green colour combination (and with the colours all-original and unretouched) is really "out of this world". 
Among the well-known users of an Underwood Noiseless are Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles. These typewriters are known to be smooth and solid and very reliable. This particular typewriter saw very little use before it was tucked away many decades ago. The mechanics are little-worn and it types "like a charm". The chromed parts are in perfect condition showing little-to-no corrosion or wear. The platen is in perfect condition although harder than ideal. Nonetheless, you can see from the typing sample what a nice imprint it has! All the other rubber components are in fine, still-soft condition. The only non-original parts on the typewriter are the rubber feet, which have been replaced. 
The keyboard is original QWERTY and the typeface is a handsome Pica (10 c.p.i.).  This machine has been fitted with a new, two-colour ribbon so it is ready to use.
