We are very proud to offer this extraordinary, wood-tone finish, Rheinmetall typewriter from 1939. A very rare colouring and even rarer with the wood finish. In glorious condition with new rubber on the platen and the feeder rollers! It looks fantastic and is ready to type with a lovely typing feel.

The wonderful wood-tone coluring gives it a look that is very hard to describe but is stunning to look at. Rheinmetall is known by typewriter enthusiasts to be a very high-quality typing machine. The body colour finish is completely original and is in exceptionally fine condition.

It is fully working and has been fully serviced, aligned and adjusted. We have outfitted this KsT with a new ribbon so you can start typing immediately. It comes with a lovely, hard case in excellent condition.

This typewriter was previously owned by a Dutch architect who was responsible for the design of some of the bridges that were built in Holland to replace those that were destroyed during the war. The typewriter was purchased less than a year before the German army invaded and began its war-time occupation of the Netherlands.

Acme typewriters have been the choice of discerning collectors and writers more than 1,000 times since we began selling online in 2016. We safely ship your typewriter from our store in the Netherlands and delivery time to the US averages only 3 days—this is a quicker delivery time even than most domestic shipments within the US!  Acme typewriters are guaranteed to arrive safely at your door, are covered by a 1-year warranty, and come with lifetime customer-care.

With an ACME Typewriter, you know you are getting a fully-working--as original--typewriter. The only thing that you have to do is sit down, put paper on the roller and start typing. Your typewriter comes with the "Acme" lead certification seal which permanently identifies it as a genuine Acme-restored typewriter and provides for a one-year warranty at no charge. In terms of an investment, the Acme Seal proves that this machine was restored in 2023 by the Acme Type Machine Company. This can add value in the event that you wish to sell this typewriter in the future.

Mechanically this typewriter is in perfect working condition. All systems have been checked and adjusted or aligned as necessary. It has been thoroughly cleaned and properly lubricated for years of service. All the chrome is unblemished and uncorroded. The keytops are worn down on a few of the letters. You can see it on the E, T and O most pronouncedly. However the typing keys are all solid and strong. Everything works as it should and as originally designed.

The keyboard is standard US/UK (QWERTY) and has accent keys for European languages. The typeface is a Pica with 10 characters per inch.

It comes with the original case which is in good condition inside and outside. There are a couple of minor blemishes on the outside of the case and the edges of the handle show some wear. The interior has some small wear marks.
