    This is an Olivetti Typewriter, Invicta, MP1, 1949, in mint condition and working perfectly. It is an extraordinary example of the MP1 typewriter. This typewriter has been cleaned, serviced, aligned and adjusted and has a new BACO ribbon (the choice of many collectors and typewriting enthusiasts) so you can start typing immediately. The original paint is in excellent overall condition. This machine has not been over-painted, this is the original colour and finish.

    This is a fully-working--as original--typewriter. The only thing that you have to do is sit down, put paper on the roller and start typing. This Olivetti comes with the "Acme" lead certification seal attached to the typewriter under the keyboard. This seal permanently identifies this typewriter as a genuine Acme-restored typewriter and provides for a 6-month warranty at no charge. (See below for details.) We guarantee safe delivery and provide careful and attentive after-purchase advice and assistance from the date of purchase to the end of eternity to ensure your full satisfaction. In terms of an investment, the Acme Seal proves that this machine was restored in 2021 by the Acme Type Machine Company. This can add value in the event that you wish to sell this typewriter in the future. And the fact that this has a new platen adds even more value.

    This typewriter is in superb cosmetic condition and working perfectly. It has been serviced, adjusted and fully cleaned inside and out, and has a new BACO ribbon (the choice of many collectors and typewriting enthusiasts) so you can start typing immediately. The original paint is in excellent uniform condition.

    Regarding the rubber: Platen Roller is smooth and clean. It has a nice softness, measuring 92 with the durometer (85-95 being ideal). The Paper Feeder Rollers are in fine condition and soft, gripping the paper well. 
    Regarding the chrome: Perfect.
    Regarding the Body and finish condition: Nearly perfect with only the slightest blemishes.
    Regarding the typing keys: all properly aligned and without blemishes from use or wear

    The keyboard is international QWERTY. That means it has the commonly used English keyboard layout with the addition of accents for European languages. The characters have all been carefully aligned and adjusted for an even line of typing. The typeface is PICA 10 cpi. (see example in photos)

    This is a Model MP1 portable, Invicta model. This is the first portable designed and manufactured by the  Olivetti Company in Ivrea, Italy. 

    This OLIVETTI MP 1 comes with its original hard case, in excellent condition--strong and safe. 

    Based on the serial number (132369) this machine is from 1949. 

    This particularly fine example of an OLIVETTI MP1 will be packed and shipped with the greatest care to preserve its condition and beauty.     Notes on the Warranty: Should anything require repair the Acme Type Machine Company (an established company in the Netherlands with Chamber of Commerce registration number 74166247) will repair it free of charge when shipped to our workshop. Due to the costs of shipping and the possibilities therein for damage during the shipping process we will work with you to make any required adjustments or repairs at home prior to taking the step to ship it to our workshop in Holland. Should it be preferable due to costs involved, we will also discuss the possibility of bringing it to a local professional typewriter repair service to make the necessary repairs. 
    The warranty does not cover damage due to mishandling or dropping the typewriter, breakage of platen roller knobs or for ordinary typewriter maintenance such as ribbon changing, platen roller renovation, character adjustment due to extensive use etc.
