1953 Burgundy Olympia SM2 Typewriter

This is a fine example of an unusual, OLYMPIA SM2 typewriter with the original burgundy body colour, from 1953. This typewriter is in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically. It has the original textured burgundy body finish. This Olympia is in excellent condition in every way and has been professionally serviced, aligned and adjusted. Mechanically it is working perfectly, as originally manufactured. Cosmetically. it is in beautiful condition with minimal signs of usage or wear. The rubber on the feet and feeder rollers is in top condition and still appropriately soft. The platen is smooth and clean and and leaves a very nice impression on the paper.
The keyboard is QWERTY with keys for European languages, and the typeface is Olympia's Pica (10 c.p.i.). It comes with a new ribbon so that you can start typing immediately. 
This typewriter does not come with a carrying case.
