Olympia SM4 1960

This is a beautifully restored, 1960, OLYMPIA SM4 DeLuxe typewriter, in Sage-Green colour with deep-green keys and forest-green accents. It is in excellent condition in every way. It has been fully cleaned, lubricated, aligned and adjusted.  The platen has been professionally refurbished with new rubber. It has a new two-colour ribbon with one original metal ribbon spool and comes with a hard case in nice condition and the original Olympia cleaning brush.
This is a fully-working--as original--typewriter. The only thing that you have to do is sit down, put paper on the roller and start typing. It comes with the Acme seal and a full mechanical warranty for 6 months. The colour on this SM4 is a sage-green with the very deep green keys and lighter-coloured platen roller knobs and spacebar. It is a very handsome combination. 
For many, the Olympia SM4 is the king of the typewriters. It is one of the most well-engineered, solid, durable and usable desktop typewriter models ever manufactured. It is perfect for a fast typer, or a slower one.
The keyboard is standard English language QWERTY, and the typeface is Olympia's Congress Elite No. 88 (11 c.p.i.). This is a truly elegant typeface. The keyboard has accent keys for French, German and Dutch letters.
Regarding the rubber: Platen Roller has new rubber. The Paper Feeder Rollers are clean and soft. The Feet are clean and soft.
Regarding the chrome: Perfect.
Regarding the Body condition: No blemishes or fading anywhere. There is the smallest hint of a light abrasion on the left front of the ribbon cover.
Regarding the mechanical condition: Working perfectly.
Comes with the original case which is in good condition inside and outside but is showing some signs of age and wear. On the outside of the case there are some minor separations in the outer cloth cover on the bottom panel. The interior has some light discolouration. The original Olympia branded cleaning brush is included.
The SM series of typewriters from the Olympia factories in Germany are considered by many to be the "gold-standard" of what a modern desktop typewriter should be. The SM4 is probably the pinnacle of that technical excellence and engineering brilliance among the SM models.
This typewriter really proves the notion that Olympia typewriters are some of the finest typing machines ever made. The typing action is wonderfully smooth and solid, swift and efficient. This is a typewriter to use and treasure, something to pass along to the next generation. Really a marvelous machine in perfect condition.

Notes on the 6-month Mechanical Warranty: Should anything require repair on the typewriter the Acme Type Machine Company (an established company in the Netherlands with Chamber of Commerce registration 74166247) will repair it free of charge when shipped to our workshop. Due to the costs of shipping and the possibilities therein for damage during the shipping process we will work with you to make any required adjustments or repairs at home prior to taking the step to ship it to our workshop in Holland. Should it be preferable due to costs involved, we will also discuss the possibility of bringing it to a local professional typewriter repair service to make the necessary repairs. 
The warranty does not cover damage due to mishandling, incorrect use or dropping the typewriter, or for ordinary typewriter maintenance such as ribbon changing, platen roller renovation, character adjustment due to extensive use etc.
