1962 Voss Privat Typewriter

This is a 1962 Voss Privat typewriter in a lovely blue & cream combination. It is a lovely and very portable typewriter. Voss Privat typewriters are not very well known because very few of them were manufactured. However, Voss typewriters have always been known for their excellent design and manufacture. 
This is what is commonly known now as a "super-portable" typewriter. It is compact and relatively light and comes with a carrying case. It has been fully reconditioned although it arrived to us in excellent condition. It was not subject to excess wear or use during its earlier lifetime. The cosmetic condition is nearly spotless and the internal mechanisms are bright and shiny and unworn. The platen is smooth and clean and receives the imprint well (see typing sample).
The keyboard is QWERTY and the typeface is Pica 10 cpi. (see example in photos). The keyboard has keys for German and other European languages. This Voss typewriter comes, of course, with a new ribbon so that you can start typing immediately.

Comes with its original carrying case which is in good condition. The handle and latch are solid and usable. The zipper is not fully operable on one side, however the hasp on the front works very well to close the case.
