AMAYA AR-85 Typewriter 1965

This is  an uncommon Spanish typewriter, the AMAYA A-85. I find it a really charming typewriter, very portable and with a very light feel. The design is definitely mid-60s! It is very light and would work very well as a traveling typewriter. It has a strong and solid feel and so would work well on a desktop as well.
The "Techno" typeface is very appealing. The keyboard is QWERTY with extra keys for Spanish characters and the typeface is Pica 10 cpi. (see example in photos). Comes with its original hard cover which is in wonderful condition. The handle and latch are solid and usable. 
It is in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically. This particular machine seems to have been rarely used. Evidence of that is the overall condition and the presence of the original, and quite rare galvanized metal ribbon spools. 
This is a fully-working--as original--typewriter. The only thing that you have to do is sit down, put paper on the roller and start typing. This AMAYA comes with the "Acme" lead certification seal attached to the typewriter. This seal permanently identifies this typewriter as a genuine Acme-restored typewriter and provides for a 6-month warranty at no charge. (See below for details.) The platen roller is in fine, smooth and clean condition with a hardness rating of ~90 (ideal is 85-95). The paper feeder rollers are in excellent condition. The rubber feet grip the desktop well. Overall, this machine is in excellent cosmetic condition and working perfectly.

Notes on the Warranty: Should anything require repair the Acme Type Machine Company (an established company in the Netherlands with Chamber of Commerce registration number 74166247) will repair it free of charge when shipped to our workshop. Due to the costs of shipping and the possibilities therein for damage during the shipping process we will work with you to make any required adjustments or repairs at home prior to taking the step to ship it to our workshop in Holland. Should it be preferable due to costs involved, we will also discuss the possibility of bringing it to a local professional typewriter repair service to make the necessary repairs. 
The warranty does not cover damage due to mishandling or dropping the typewriter, breakage of platen roller knobs or for ordinary typewriter maintenance such as ribbon changing, platen roller renovation, character adjustment due to extensive use etc.
