This is an extraordinary and beautiful, red, HERMES Baby, one of the most renowned brands and models of typewriter ever made. And this particular Baby is not only a wonderfully hip/modern red-orange colour, it comes with the uncommon and highly desirable Cursive/Script font. It is in excellent condition, mechanically and cosmetically, and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. This is the ORIGINAL colour--it has not been repainted. This typewriter comes with one, original Hermes-branded metal ribbon spool and has been fitted with a vintage Hermes ribbon so you can start using it immediately.

This is a typing machine that is ready to work for many good years of typing service. And with its brilliant Hermes engineering, it does that with elegance, smoothness and solidity.
 
Overall, this typewriter is in excellent, original condition. There are only the fewest signs of use and wear. The chrome is in wonderful condition with few signs of wear. The keys are clean and unmarked by use. Both platen roller knobs are absolutely solid and clean without any cracks, discolouration or other damage. The body finish is overall sparkling and glossy, with only a few tiny scratches. 
 
Mechanically, it is in excellent working condition. The platen has been newly renovated with fresh rubber. The paper feeder rollers are in perfect condition and soft. The rubber feet have been replaced sometime in the past and are soft and in fine condition. All mechanical devices and mechanisms have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. 
 
This typewriter has a QWERTY international keyboard with accents for European and keys for languages. The typeface, as mentioned, is Hermes Script Elite, 11 c.p.i., (sometimes called Cursive). It comes with a wonderful original Hermes-branded metal spool and vintage (but still very usable—see photo) Hermesribbon. 
 
The case/cover is in good condition but does have a crack to the right side of the handle. The crack has been repaired internally and so the cover is still strong and very usable. The chrome pieces holding the handle show the earliest signs of corrosion but are still relatively clean and shiny. The handle is clean and intact. The interior is clean and fresh looking.
