Hermes Baby 1972

This is a beautiful HERMES Baby, one of the most renowned brands and models of typewriter ever made. And this particular Baby is a rare, all-white colour. It is in superb condition, mechanically and cosmetically, and has been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, adjusted and aligned. This typewriter has its ORIGINAL colour--it has not been repainted. This typewriter has been fitted with a new "Acme Signature" blue ribbon so you can start using it immediately. This is the ultimate portable typing machine weighing only around 8 lbs (4 kg).
This is a fully-working--as original--typewriter. The only thing that you have to do is sit down, put paper on the roller and start typing. This Hermes comes with the "Acme" lead certification seal attached to the typewriter under the keyboard. This seal permanently identifies this typewriter as a genuine Acme-restored typewriter and provides for a 6-month warranty at no charge. (See below for details.) We guarantee safe delivery and provide careful and attentive after-purchase advice and assistance from the date of purchase to the end of eternity to ensure your full satisfaction. In terms of an investment, the Acme Seal proves that this machine was restored in 2021 by the Acme Type Machine Company. Overall, this typewriter is in superb condition. There are only the barest signs of use and wear. The chrome is in wonderful condition with no signs of corrosion. The keys are clean and unmarked by use.  The body finish is overall sparkling and glossy. 
Mechanically, it is in excellent working condition. The platen is in excellent condition, clean and smooth, and with a hardness reading of 91 (Ideal is: 85-95). The rubber feeder rollers are in top condition, soft and clean. The rubber feet are in nearly-new condition and grip the desktop well. All mechanical devices and mechanisms have been checked and adjusted as necessary, and work as originally manufactured. 
This typewriter has a QWERTY keyboard (standard English layout) with accent keys for European languages. The typeface is, as noted,  a wonderful Hermes Elite with 12 characters to the inch. The typewriter comes with one original metal ribbon spool.
The case/cover is in superb condition. There are no cracks in the case, as is often found on these typewriters.
Based on the serial number (9307889) this Hermes typewriter was manufactured in 1972.

Notes on the 6-month Mechanical Warranty: Should anything require repair on the typewriter the Acme Type Machine Company (an established company in the Netherlands with Chamber of Commerce registration 74166247) will repair it free of charge when shipped to our workshop. Due to the costs of shipping and the possibilities therein for damage during the shipping process we will work with you to make any required adjustments or repairs at home prior to taking the step to ship it to our workshop in Holland. Should it be preferable due to costs involved, we will also discuss the possibility of bringing it to a local professional typewriter repair service to make the necessary repairs. 
The warranty does not cover damage due to mishandling, incorrect use or dropping the typewriter, or for ordinary typewriter maintenance such as ribbon changing, platen roller renovation, character adjustment due to extensive use etc.
