Hermes Baby Typewriter with deLuxe Plaid case

A fine example of this classic and iconic typewriter. This Hermes Baby has a very fine and rare DeLuxe case in Plaid cloth with genuine leather trimming. It comes complete with original user manual and factory guarantee—and a new ribbon. The keyboard is QWERTY with keys for European languages. It has a Hermes-Elite typeface (font) with 12 characters to the inch.
The Hermes typewriter itself is in superb condition and is a joy to type with. Look closely at the photos and you will see the beautiful condition of this machine. The deluxe case is in fine condition with very few signs of wear. This typewriter has been professionally reconditioned. It comes with a new ribbon and is ready for your typing—and other—adventures. 
Hermes is one of the most renowned brands and models of typewriter ever made, and this is a wonderful example of the "Baby" model, also known as the "Rocket", from 1958. This is the perfect portable typing machine, weighing only ~3.6kg/8 lbs! 
As mentioned this typewriter has a QWERTY keyboard. (It is also available with a German, QWERTZ, keyboard.) The typeface is Elite (11 characters per inch) and the new ribbon is wound onto the two original metal ribbon spools (!). The platen is smooth and clean and takes the impression perfectly (see typing sample). The rubber feet are in like-new condition so it holds steady on the desktop, or on the fold down tray on an airplane. This Hermes works as it originally came from the factory. 
The case is in fine condition, inside and out. This case was specifically designed for the Hermes Baby. The zipper closes smoothly and fully although there is some light wear in a couple of places.
