Olympia SM2 Typewriter 1956 —for Students and Artists

If you are looking for a classic "typer's" typewriter, this is the one for you. We are pleased to offer this OLYMPIA SM2 typewriter manufactured in 1956, in our Students & Artists line. It is in fine condition except the typing keys show more wear than we like to have on an Acme typewriter. It has been professionally serviced, aligned and adjusted. It has a new ribbon so you can start typing immediately.

This sage-green example of the Olympia SM2 will be excellent for typing a novel, for letter writingg--really, for any typing.

For many, the Olympia models are considered to be some of the most well-engineered, solid, durable and usable typewriter models ever manufactured. The SM series of typewriters from the Olympia factories in Germany are considered by many to be the "gold-standard" of what a modern portable typewriter should be. It is perfect for a fast typer, or a slower one and has been adjusted to have a light "lift" when shifting. (Perfect for modern-day typers!)

The keyboard is English (QWERTY) with accent keys for European languages. The typeface is Olympia's Elite (11 c.p.i.).

This typewriter is available with an original transport case at 50€ additional charge (billed after purchase).
