We are pleased to offer this beautiful OLYMPIA SM9 typewriter, manufactured in 1967. It is in top condition and has been fully cleaned, serviced, aligned and adjusted. This typewriter has the common QWERTY keyboard layout. Comes with a new ribbon and a carrying case!
 
It has a new ribbon and comes with a hard case, also in excellent condition. The shifting is easy and light with the "segment shift", also called a "basket shift". This means the segment (the "basket" in which the typebars are found) is lowered to make capital letters, therefore, the shifting is easier and lighter as compared to ordinary typewriters with a carriage shift (which raises the heavy carriage to make capital letters). This is a very speedy and precise typer very suitable to serious writers who want a typewriter that is easy on the fingers.

The typeface is a handsome Pica with 10 characters to the inch. This typewriter has the tabulator system for typing in columns etc.
This typewriter comes with the original case which is in excellent condition inside and outside with lovely chrome. It does however have some small marks of wear and usage appropriate to its age.
