Princess 300 Typewriter with deLuxe Blue Case!

This lovely, blue and cream, Princess 300, from 1961, is in excellent overall condition. It is a beautiful colour combination and simply gorgeous. This typewriter has its original colouring. It has been fully restored, cleaned, lubricated and adjusted.  It is wonderful to use and absolutely lovely to look at! A lovely combination of inspired mid-century industrial design and German engineering!  This portable typewriter looks as handsome standing on your desk at home as it does on the terrace of your hotel or holiday home.

We have restored dozens of these Princess typewriters over the years and I am always impressed by the overall high quality, mechanical design and the smoothness with which they operate. As an example, the ribbon colour selector switch on the left is as cool as they come. When you switch to red or no-colour a little colour-block comes into the glass window above the switch. Tabs are set (and removed) at the touch of a finger with the special key on the right side.
This typewriter is in excellent cosmetic condition. The keys are a uniform, light-cream, colour—unlike many Princesses which often have a problem with differing-coloured keys. Also, this Princess does not have the typical paint-loss on the ribbon cover under the carriage-return lever. Mechanically this Princess is in top working condition. The platen is smooth and clean. The paper feed rollers are in excellent condition and appropriately soft. The chrome parts are in beautiful condition. The paint finish is original.
The case is in excellent condition. The interior paper-flap is intact and snaps into place. 
The typeface is a lovely Elite (11 cpi). As compared to many Princesses I see for sale, this has a QWERTY keyboard common to English language writers. It has accents and extra keys needed to write in European languages, too. It comes with a new ribbon so you can start typing immediately.
