Ready for Summer! Imagine sitting outside with this amazing typewriter finished in its original deep green enamel. Rich in colour yet restrained in form, it is a machine that seems equally at home on a writing desk, a shaded garden table, or the veranda of a country house. Paired with its matching green carrying case, it possesses a visual character seldom encountered among portable typewriters and one that lends itself particularly well to summer writing.
Manufactured by Rheinmetall-Borsig in Sömmerda, the KsT earned a reputation for robust engineering and dependable mechanical performance. While less widely known than some of its contemporaries, it remains one of the finest German portable typewriters of its period, combining thoughtful industrial design with a remarkably smooth and confident typing action.
The present example was acquired from a horticulturist in Germany and has been preserved in exceptional original condition. Finished in an unusually scarce shade of green, it retains remarkable depth and lustre, with virtually no evidence of wear or fading. The original chrome remains bright, the rubber components retain their correct resilience, and the matching carrying case is equally well preserved. 
This typewriter has been fully restored by Acme Type Machine Company to its original mechanical standard. The mechanism has been cleaned, adjusted, and calibrated, and a new bi-colour ribbon has been installed. It bears the permanent Acme Seal and is accompanied by its original accessories, including the factory cleaning brushes and polishing cloth.
An unusually well-preserved example of one of Germany's finest post-war portable typewriters, distinguished by its rare original finish and remarkable completeness.
