This is an absolutely lovely Triumph Norm 6 typewriter from 1948 in a beautiful forest-green colour with a "crinkle" finish. It has a lovely, solid "touch", good speed and smooth feel combined with fine German engineering. A lovely combination of inspired mid-century industrial design and European workmanship! It is fully working in every particular and has been fully cleaned, serviced, adjusted and conserved to our highest standards. It comes with the original brush, original Triumph-branded ribbon spool and the original Triumph-branded polishing cloth. It is a wonderful typer with a nice "touch". This typewriter has not been re-painted, it is original in every aspect.
Overall, this Triumph is a terrific looking machine and a solid, well-working typewriter, thoroughly cleaned, carefully serviced and restored to top condition. This extraordinary typewriter comes with a mechanical guarantee for 3 months and will be shipped without extra cost, fully insured.
It is fully working in every particular and has been fully cleaned, serviced, adjusted and conserved to our highest standards. It comes with the original brushes and the original case key. It is an easy typer with a relatively soft "touch", a good feel and is quite satisfying to type with.
This Triumph Norm 6 comes with the original green metal case, which is in excellent condition with a few marks of age and wear. The hasp is in fine condition and is only lacking the original key, and the chrome is in top shape. The base plate is in perfect condition and the rubber feet are still soft and in fine condition.
The carriage movement is fast, smooth and light and the typebar action is fast and smooth. All keys type smoothly and return swiftly as originally. The "chrome" is in fine condition front to back. There are some fingernail scratches on the E and the S keys. Otherwise the keyboard is in excellent condition.
All the rubber is in excellent condition. The platen is smooth, soft and clean with a durometer reading of 93-94 (92-95 being generally accepted as ideal). The rubber feet on the typewriter and on the case are soft and still gripping the table top. The paper feeder rollers are soft and grip the paper well.
The serial number is 48015 marking this Norm 6 as having been made in 1948.
The body finish is in excellent condition. It is all original and has received not even a spot of touch-up anywhere. The decals are strong and clean and bright. There are a few small spots of wear and/or paint loss that can be seen in the photos. Fortunately these are mostly on the off sides where they are less visible allowing this typewriter to retain its superb look.
This Triumph has the Elite typeface (11 cpi) and has two original metal ribbon spools. One of the spools is a very rare, Triumph branded one. This typewriter has a new, two-colour Baco ribbon (the choice of many collectors) installed. The printing quality is excellent as can be seen in the photo.
This extraordinary example of an uncommon typewriter—the Triumph Norm 6 in forest-green with QWERTY keyboard—will be packed and shipped with the greatest care to preserve its condition and beauty, insured to its full value.
