Voss "KArin" Typewriter with QWERTY keyboard and deLuxe Case!

This is the renowned, but relatively rare Voss "Karin" typewriter with a QWERTY keyboard (mostly one finds them with a German QWERTZ keyboard). This example, with an all-original, two-tone, khaki and cream colour combination is particularly wonderful. It is a fine, solid typewriter with superb mechanics and a lovely, mid-century design. It has an amazingly smooth feel. I think of these Voss typewriters as sort of like the Cadillac of typewriters. It's a little bigger than it needs to be but within that size is luxury, smooth operation, fine engineering and a smooth ride (type). This particular VOSS is an excellent example of the Karin model, in top condition mechanically and cosmetically. The nice feel of the typing makes it a pleasure to use. The wonderful, mid-century design makes it a pleasure to display.
Mechanically, this typewriter works perfectly in every way. I have included a couple of workbench photos so you can see the beauty of the inner-mechanics. Cosmetically, it is in excellent condition with only a couple of tiny signs of age or use. But look at the photos and you will see what fine condition this typewriter is in. The chrome is in super condition. The rubber feet are soft and grip the desk. The paper feeder rollers are soft and grip the paper. The platen is clean and smooth and makes a fine typing impression. This means that you will have years of typewriting pleasure.
The typeface is the Voss Pica (10 characters per inch). The keyboard is QWERTY, with extra keys for European languages.  It has a new ribbon so you can start typing immediately.
It comes with the original case in fine condition with a lovely plaid interior lining.
